Research

I am primarily interested in Analysis, especially Harmonic Analysis, though I can be easily distracted by an interesting problem in any field. In particular, I am quite fond of Group Theory and Mathematical Music Theory.

My current research is my project for Oberlin's Honors in Mathematics program. I am working on topics in analysis related to maximal functions/maximal inequalities under the supervision of Chris Marx.

I am also working on some smaller projects related to Mathematical Music Theory, which I keep pushing back in response to the above projects.

I have also recently completed an REU at UWashington-Seattle, studying the HRT Conjecture. In short, the conjecture is about the linear independance of time-frequency shifts of \(L^2\) functions.
