About me
Hi! I'm Sam, I'm a graduate mathemetician at George Mason University starting this fall. I recently graduated from Oberlin College in May 2026 with a BA in Mathematics and Musical Studies. My mathematics work is primarily in Analysis, and my musical work is primarily as a composer.
This website contains information about my professional and academic work, as well as just some general information about myself and my passion projects. If you'd like to learn more about me, you can find a slightly more extensive description about myself here. If you have questions for me—about myself, my work, or anything else—feel free to send me an email.

What I'm Up To:
Mathematics:
- Organizing my life for the eventual move to Virginia for my PhD program. (Hey, if you're in my cohort and find this page, email me to say hi!)
- Counting all the ways I can put my ducks in a row using Burnside's Lemma.
Media:
- Listening to Burning Out by Virtual Riot.
- Playing Slay the Spire 2. I played almost 700 hours of STS1—mostly during Covid—so I've been very excited for this one to release.
- Watching Jon Bois (on Secret Base) talk about Scorigami in NFL Football (I don't even like sports that much—this series of videos is fascinating though).
Other:
- Playtesting Misfits.
- Theorycrafting new Magic: The Gathering decks.
- Writing music and jamming out.
- Procrastinating.
