About me
Hi! I'm Sam, I'm a Mathematics and Musical Studies student at Oberlin College. On the math side, I'm primarily an analyst, and on the music side, I'm primarily a composer.
This website contains information about my professional and academic work, as well as just some general information about myself and my passion projects. If you'd like to learn more about me, you can find a slightly more extensive description about myself here. If you have questions for me—about myself, my work, or anything else—feel free to send me an email.
This website was first created in Summer 2025, so it remains a bit bare. As I continue to do interesting things I will continue to update this site. Feel free to poke around regardless!
What I'm Up To:
Mathematics:
- Attending NCUWM and presenting on Costello Division. (If you attended NCUWM this year, I'd love to get into contact! Shoot me an email)
- Waiting to hear back from doctoral programs (wish me luck!).
- Working on my undergraduate Honors project/thesis.
- Failing to either spell or pronounce Marcinkiewicz on the first try. Or on the second try. or on the \(n\)th try.
Media:
- Listening to To The Stars by Braken.
- Playing Baba Is You.
- Watching Jon Bois (on Secret Base) talk about Scorigami in NFL Football (I don't even like sports that much—this series of videos is fascinating though).
Other:
- Playtesting Misfits.
- Theorycrafting new Magic: The Gathering decks.
- Writing music and jamming out.
- Procrastinating.
